Victor is a facilitation guru…Able to be a voice of reason while continuing to validate participant's perspectives; Victor is a natural guide for difficult discussions among differing opinions. With the flexibility to lead in a variety of group settings, he is sure to lead any team through an educational process with thoughtfulness, methodology, and humor.

Victor took on a unique challenge in agreeing to work with the University of Arizona Office of Admissions. We are a large group, over 100 people, whose roles range from front line recruitment staffs to behind the scenes application processing staff. The group had a variety of formal education around social justice and diversity work, and different understandings of the language of social justice. Victor navigated the complexities of the group with ease, developing a program that not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Staff across the department spoke of how engaged they were in the program, both in the large and small group sessions, and how much they learned. They also spoke to their appreciation for their colleagues who served as facilitators for their work leading the small group conversations. These staff members were trained via an in-depth half day program created by Victor to help assure that meaningful, deep and honest dialogue could occur, an innovation that helped to give his program a deeper reach. We have, and would continue to, recommend Victor for both large and small group trainings.

Victor has incredible insight on how to teach concepts of social justice. His ability to engage students and staff from diverse backgrounds in discussions of privilege and oppression are fantastic. His style is very interactive and it creates a safe space where participants can explore issues in a trusting and caring environment.

Victor’s engaging and thought provoking facilitation style is perfect for organizational change initiative training modules. He is able to objectively guide the group through examination of biases and expectations; resulting in attitudinal changes that secure buy-in and team synergy.

As a delegate at Camp ANYTOWN I was able to participate in several activities led by Victor. I can truthfully say that my eyes have opened to a the world around me. His ability to lead group discussions and workshops allowed me to feel able to make risks and question everything. Victor has given me the tools I need to help fix the holes in the walls of our society.

Victor was invited to lead a training for our Customer Service Desk staff during our fall training in 2010...Diversity training has been a challenge in the past, because the students had a hard time seeing where they fit in with what they were being trained on. Victor took this challenge as an opportunity to make meaningful connections for the staff and build community. After our fall training was finished, I received unsolicited feedback from many of the staff who felt that Victor's training had been the best diversity training they had ever received. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to build community and understanding within their staff groups.

Victor’s workshop, “Can We Talk? Having Authentic Conversations About Tough Topics” was engaging and provocative. From the avoiders of authentic dialogue to the seasoned communicators, all of the participants walked away with new skills to think and act in interculturally appropriate ways. His highly interactive workshop gave them the confidence to take risks, make mistakes, practice giving grace, and most importantly, stay in the conversation. Given the chance, our organization would happily invite Victor back to continue this important and timely work.

Victor sure is someone special isn’t he? He has the unique ability to nurture personal growth while still challenging you to think beyond your own perspective, your own truth, and your own comfort zone. Victor sets the tone of safety and respect right from the get go, and he guides difficult discussions with grace. Victor’s ability to teach people about social justice is admirable, the way he engages students and staff in deep discussions is amazing. If you have the opportunity to participate in any workshop involving Victor, DO IT! I’m proud to know him, blessed to have learned from him, and beyond excited for all of the great things he will do for this world in the future!
